2. The Ise Jingu
(30 min.)
The Ise Jingu Geku is dedicated to Toyouke-Omikami, a god who takes charge of meals for Amaterasu-Omikami and is worshiped as a guardian deity of clothing, food and housing and all industries.
Let's visit the Geku before the Naiku in accordance with a practice from ancient times, “When making a pilgrimage to the Ise Jingu, visit the Geku first and then visit the Naiku.”

Take a bus at [Geku-mae] Platform No. 2 and get off at [Naiku-mae].

3. The Ise Jingu Naiku
(60 min.)
The Ise Jingu Naiku is dedicated to Amaterasu-Omikami, the god in the highest position in Japan who shines on the heaven and the people. Surrounded by the beautiful greenery, brace yourself up and gives thanks that you were able to visit the shrine and express your continuing gratitude to the god.
Walk a short time from the Uji Bridge in the Ise Jingu Naiku.
4. Oharai-machi and Okage-Yokocho
(60 - 120 min.)
Buildings that used to be located in Ise during the Edo to Meiji periods (1603-1912) were reconstructed in the Oharai-machi and Okage-Yokocho area. This area is home to the main store of the Ise specialty Akafuku-mochi (sweet rice cake topped with a sweet bean paste), Ise noodles restaurants, tekone sushi restaurants and many other restaurants and souvenir shops. When visiting the Ise Jingu, come over to this area.

5. Mikimoto Pearl Island
(45 - 90 min.)
It was on this island that Kokichi Mikimoto succeeded in culturing pearls for the first time in the world. Visitors can see demonstrations of diving by ama, female divers, who are dressed in traditional white costumes. Visitors can purchase pearl jewels, souvenirs in the motif of pearls and other various items.

2. Meoto Iwa Rocks and Futami Okitama Shrine
(20 min.)
Meoto Iwa Rocks have been known as a place to worship the rising sun since ancient times. Many people who pray for harmonious marriage and a good match visit here to see Meoto Iwa Rocks, which are two large and small rocks located side-by-side like a marred couple. Futami Okitama Shrine, with cute frogs, messengers of the gods, located here and there on its precincts, is regarded as having divine favor in realizing marriage, harmonious marriage and traffic safety.

4. Kongoshoji Temple
(30 - 60 min.)
Kongoshoji Temple is mentioned in the Ise Ondo (an old fork song in Ise), which goes "When visiting the Ise Jingu, climb Mt. Asama (to visit Kongoshoji Temple). If you do not climb Mt. Asama, the visit is half-done." and is said to be a temple that was visited by all the people who visited the Ise Jingu without exception. It is famous as a temple for prayer for easy delivery, child rearing, good luck and for warding off evil, etc.

5. Observatory on the top of Mt. Asama
(30 - 60 min.)
Mt. Asama is one of the 100 landscapes of Japan. You can relax and enjoy a panoramic view of islands on Ise Bay, including Toshi Island, Suga Island and Sakate Island while taking a footbath located at the observatory 500 m above sea level.
